The museum was donated to the state of Perú by Gallo and is now administered by Foundation Miguel Mujica Gallo, which is currently directed by Victoria Mujica Diez Canseco.

In the evening: Our Peruvian Horse: Caballo de Paso

After the Spanish conquest and colonization, the country welcomed several breeds of horses that eventually crossed each other and evolved in the Peruvian geography, giving birth to a pure breed, with a natural gait and unique in the world, the Peruvian Paso Horse.

In its beginnings it was used as a work tool for plowing, herding and transport. Its stable gait provides comfort to its riders, Chalán (male) and Amazona (female), which is why it is considered one of the softest saddle breeds in the world.

His four-beat walk gives the sensation of dancing, which has made him a great exponent of culture and tradition that accompanies the Marinera. In 1992, the Peruvian State declared it as a National Cultural Heritage and in 2012; Product Flag
