We can teach Spanish to anyone.
Learning a language takes effort, perseverance...and work
Como niños...por supuesto
We teach Spanish. At Rojas Spanish Language, we have invested considerable thought in creating the best possible learning environment and process. We know and understand that it takes a lot of determination and hard work to learn a language well.
We also know that the best formula for success does not include a sterile classroom with glaring overhead lights and tidy rows of chairs. Learning a language is about to trust the instruction, grow in your confidence and be able to communicate in that language.
From the start, as a Beginner or A1 level, you first learn how to communicate using expressions and vocabulary that are important and relevant to you.
When we are kids and we learn our language there are no phonetic classes to take. We all learn by imitating the sounds of our parent’s language and those sounds have relevant meaning to us. Little by little our self-confidence grows.
We learn the words that are important to us. Vocabulary has to be relevant for us to survive, to live, to learn, to feel and to love. This is what we are looking for every time we practice. To learn the words that are needed for different situation in our lives.
In our classes we won’t simply learn words and structures to articulate cold and boring communication. It is important to learn the perspective from which Hispanics see and interact with the world.
Once we are able to communicate in a basic way we will be ready to start learning, step by step, the structure of the language. Grammar should not be the focus of the learning process, but rather communication needs to be the focus. With that being said, grammar does have a place in the process of learning Spanish.
You are in this level when you don’t know anything about the language. Here you will learn your first words in Spanish, first sounds in Spanish, and your first approach to the Spanish speaking world.
In this level you learn to communicate like a child in a basic and direct way. You learn how to communicate in past, present and future thoughts and ideas.
You are growing in vocabulary, expressions and perfecting your phonetics. Like a teenager, you learn how to feel comfortable giving and receiving information in Spanish.
Now we reinforce our reading and writing skills. Carry out projects in Spanish and are able to lead in Spanish a group or travelling abroad with confidence.
Every language has a rhythm. There is a particular way in which we “sing” the language when we speak it. We will teach you how to “sing” Spanish.
We don’t teach you how to memorize vocabulary; rather, we help you to internalize concepts, structures and vocabulary.
Context is what brings the Spanish language alive. Spanish without context is merely the repetition of words with no real connection.
It is not about putting Spanish words into English thoughts; but rather, learning how to see the world from the perspective of a Spanish speaker.
