Basic: Level A
The level where all begins
Basic level A
In this level we learn how to communicate in a very basic way.
We learn words and phrases that allow us to form basic expressions. Not only in predesigned structure, but also using the necessary resources to articulate basic needs and wants.
We learn to express past, present and future thoughts and ideas using patterns of sounds for conjugations. We expand our vocabulary based on what we want/need to communicate.
Like a one-year-old child, we put emphasis in imitation and repetition for fluency and recognition of words in context.
Level A-1/ STARTER
If you don’t have any experience with Spanish before or you want to start a fresh review on what you once learned many years before then this is your entry level.
You can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs in a concrete way. You can introduce yourself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details; such as, where you live, people you know and things you have. You can interact in a simple way, provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
You can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). You can communicate about routine tasks that require a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and common issues. You can describe, in simple terms, aspects of your background, immediate environment and immediate needs.
Intermediate: Level B
The level where you discover the world
Intermediate Level B
In this level you should be able to understand this information in Spanish.
In these classes we are going to grow your basic vocabulary into something more functional. The different tenses that helped us to express ourselves in Basic Level-1, will now be reinforced by developing more advanced structures.
Like children ages 9 to 15, language will help them to further discover the world around them, in Spanish, with complete structured expressions of our thoughts and ideas.
The phonetics will be perfected using rhythm, in a process of trial and error, and positive reinforcement.
You can clearly understand the main points of normal conversation pertaining to matters regularly discussed in work, school, leisure, etc. You can handle most situations when travelling in an area where the language is spoken. You can produce simple, connected sentences and phrases on topics familiar to you or of personal interest. You can describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes and ambitions; as well as, briefly give reasons and explanations on these opinions and plans.
You can understand main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in your field or specialization. You can communicate with native speakers on some level of fluency, eliminating confusion or strain for either party.
You can communicate clearly and in detail concerning a wide range of subjects. Offering explanations of viewpoints pertaining to various issues and giving the advantages and disadvantages of various opinions.
Advanced: Level C
The level where you conquer the world
Advanced Level C
In this advanced level we use a very structured vocabulary; both informal and professional.
We complete investigations, which is to say, compile information in order to process and discover conclusions. We communicate in Spanish with different parts of the Hispanic world and have success in obtaining what we look for. For example, making reservations at a hotel, shopping over the phone, etc.
Practice surrounds contemporarily themed discussions that should allow us to have an argument and maintain a conversation using specific lexical words for each theme.
In short, to be able to express yourself in Spanish and feel comfortable with your presentation while at the same time those listening to you also feel comfortable.
Here we will greatly develop your technical writing and listening skills.
You can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts and recognize implicit meaning. You can express yourself fluently and spontaneously without obviously needing to search for expressions. You can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. You can articulate clear, well-structured and detailed thoughts concerning complex subjects. Demonstrating controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
You can easily understand virtually everything heard or read. You can summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in an articulate manner. You can express yourself with fluency and precision; differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex of situations.
